Congressman Jeff Van Drew returns to the Dom Giordano Program to discuss a statement he sent out concerning the new push by the Department of Health and Human Services to fund a grant that will allocate taxpayer resources to fund safe injection sites and other controversial treatments for addiction. First, Giordano asks for Van Drew to address claims made on Twitter that Van Drew is only speaking out against this because he’s “pro-big pharma,” which Van Drew chuckles at and outright denies. Then, Van Drew explains why he’s taken such a strong stand against the HHS, and tells that he’s shocked that anybody could support an initiative that would use taxpayer funds to pay for crackpipes for addicts. In addition, Van Drew explains why he’s asked for a censure of Liz Cheney, and responds to Nancy Pelosi’s comments about athletes at the Beijing Olympics. (Photo by Getty Images)
