Lifelong friends HowardBware and Miketheratguy host "The Contra Code", a retro video game podcast FOR nerds BY nerds. Every two weeks we'll play a different classic game and discuss our experiences with it, providing an in-depth review while delving into the past and conjuring up the fond (and not so fond) memories of our youth. We'll also talk about some of the movies and memories from the time of each game's release and throw in any interesting gaming news that happens to tickle our fancy. After explaining their unexpected absence and examining a couple of famous celebrity breakdowns, Mike and Howard get funky by spending some time in 1991 with Sega's iconic alien rap duo Toejam and Earl.
Howard and Mike return from an unexpected hiatus to enter protracted discussions about Kevin Smith and the Jurassic Park series (among other things) before going green with their thoughts on the 1991 Ninja Turtle arcade hit and the pop culture phenomenon that gave birth to it.
