John 17 is known as the High Priestly Prayer. Just hours before going to the cross, Jesus prays for His disciples. He first prays that people would see Him for who He truly is. Next, He prays that His disciples would remain faithful and not wander from the truth. Finally, Jesus prays for the unity of the Church.
