“Stirred up”

Heb 10:23 Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for he who promised is faithful. - I know this is tough - Keep being the church - Wow moments with OFC Living selfishly is evidence of wavering in our faith and hope

Heb 10:24 And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works,

Stir up- Get each other excited. Move from stale blah to whoa cool paroxusmos - to incite, to provoke (KJV) Tough to get people excited in crisis and even more about crisis (lemons and Lemonade)

1.Love- “Living for yourself often comes with the cost of not loving others”

  • How to connect without being connected
  • We long for relationships and this has been undone. We are designed for this. WHY?
  • Maybe we have taken for granted the relationships we have in our lives
  • Who are you in a Face time group with or family Topics Fear Needs Conversation Joh 13:34 A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another. Joh 13:35 By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.”

2.Good works - “Living for yourself is eradicated by serving others” 1Jn 3:18 Little children, let us not love in word or talk but in deed and in truth.

Now is the time to serve -Groceries -Generosity -Maybe you are an encourager b. If you are not serving in some way at this time, check your faith and your priorities c. Serving takes your mind off of you and puts it on others

Heb 10:25 not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.

3. Be the church “An elite group that puts aside personal gain for the benefit of others”

  • Its crunch time
  • We have a reputation of being a body of servers
  • Our temple is not at 222 railroad drive
  • The sin of omission (Jesus came as an example, follow it)
  • The promise of a DAY
