This is a meditation to connect with any parts that are in conflict, especially those held blockages in our energy centers or our chakras. We are taking the time to connect with those parts. When ask them what they need, why they’re there and what job they’re doing for us, we can uncover what’s within. We connect with the love in our hearts as a way to soothe those conflicting parts and receive information about how to heal. The energies around us are helping to uncover the shadows within us all. When we allow these energies to integrate, we come into wholeness. I hope this may support you in some way.----Merging the spiritual with the real world, Rachel Horton White helps people release negative patterns in their lives, with practical tools like mindfulness, energy and intuition exercises, to connect with their true, inner selves. This is a meditation called Intuitive New You I did a few months ago to help you receive answers to questions you have about how to proceed in your life. It’s amazing what comes up when we just pause and listen to the subconscious mind (to our higher selves). It’s then just about actually doing what is suggested – trusting! This meditation will help to clear away old, stuck stuff that is ready to be removed from your body, to make way for the lighter, freer future self just waiting for you.In this meditation and musing, we work with the energy of Ganesha, the remover obstacles. With his gentle guidance, we do some breathwork to cleanse and clear stuck energy. Then, the gentle light and beauty of Lakshmi comes in to help us be rebirthed like a lotus flower in spring. Through the pathway of light out of our hearts, we see and feel ourselves awakening to a new day, with lightness in our step and with hopeful hearts, moving forward in a path of light into our highest and best future.----Merging the spiritual with the real world, Rachel Horton White helps people release negative patterns in their lives, with practical tools like mindfulness, energy and intuition exercises, to connect with their true, inner selves. This is an Energy Clearing/Psychic Surgery Meditation to clear out our energy fields from the gunk and debris of the external world. With the loving energy of multi-dimensional beings (Arcturians), we allow in silvery blue/gray light to suck out what doesn't belong, and allow the tears and rips in our aura to be sewn up, as well as our wounds to be healed instantaneously. Warming red and white light flows in to heal us and to seal us up. I hope this is helpful in some way. P.S. In this meditation, we shed the layers of the human condition to remember that we are Divine beings. We come into the remembrance that we are one with Source, with God. When we say "I Am" we remember that we are that love of the Creator. The core of this light is unconditional love that we invite in ourselves that can spill out into the collective. By receiving and sending out reverberations of the frequency of love as waves, like that of the Source of All That Is, we allow ourselves to receive love and we send out ripples of love to all sentient beings in the planet. This is so important to help move humans into higher states of consciousness! ---- Merging the spiritual with the real world, Rachel Horton White helps people release negative patterns in their lives, with practical tools like mindfulness, energy and intuition exercises, to connect with their true, inner selves. This is a meditation on Inner Light for the Earth. In order to integrate all the light that we are being flooded with, we have to allow the dense energies (in the form of old beliefs or traumas) in our bodies to surface so they can be transmuted and cleared, making space for all the light. With the help of angelic energy, this meditation brings in light, and creates a circular flow between each person listening, and with Gaia (the Earth) for mutual/collective healing as we move through the ascension gateway into 5D consciousness. (Angels help shift energy for us, and support us in our own inner growth so we can move forward in ways that we seek.) ---- Merging the spiritual with the real world, Rachel Horton White helps people release negative patterns in their lives, with practical tools like mindfulness, energy and intuition exercises, to connect with their true, inner selves. The light of Source lies in the space between our thoughts. When we can take time for stillness, we find flow within the peace that is there. It’s hard to put words to describe this, as you know… it’s more of a feeling. This short Connecting with Source meditation will help you feel that light within yourself and the awareness that it’s all around, in every snowflake (sacred geometry), in the ripples of water (vibrations), in shells (Fibonacci’s spiral). The more we take the time to tap into the energy and light of Source/Creator/God, the more that feeling of oneness and flow will permeate what we do, think, say, be. And it will help shift the energy around us and other people too. Little by little. We are learning (remembering, really) to be this light.----Merging the spiritual with the real world, Rachel Horton White helps people release negative patterns in their lives, with practical tools like mindfulness, energy and intuition exercises, to connect with their true, inner selves. Abundance is a natural state of being, and when we learn about how to align our vibration with that which we seek, with the Law of Attraction/Resonance, we can manifest our deepest desires. It can take time to clear Ego-based negative thoughts and beliefs, but it can be done. It’s all about creating the expansive feeling and living in that feeling now!
Enjoy this talk and meditation on Manifesting The Flow of Abundance.

This is a meditation to identify, process and release anger with the energy of the Divine goddess Kali. With her blue light, we tunnel into the emotion and uncover its layers. We begin to help the core center (often the inner child) heal.
When we think of someone who is angry, we think of someone who is out of control, who we need to be afraid of.. to protect ourselves from. It’s someone we may worry is not safe. But that is often uncontrolled anger. What I’m talking about is simmering anger. In the past few years, many of us have experienced these sorts of emotions ranging from outright, inner rage to a mild, general irritation.
How do we move on from anger and sadness? All of these emotions can lead to overwhelm, lashing out at others, internalizing or a sense of paralysis. Thankfully there are ways to cope. The energy of Divine Feminine goddesses like Kali can help..
Since we are building our new reality as a human collective without any cohesive leadership, we are left to manage this on our own, supporting each other as soul friends. Yet, the real healing and the real answers lie from going within, from looking at our patterns, at the parts that are just stories created by social conditioning and trauma and that aren’t helping us anymore. This is difficult to do, and most people just don’t do it. We are being asked to go deep within to heal. No one else is going to save us or do the work for us.
As for me and the anger, I have various ways I have coped with it. I have written about it, talked about it, and I have been known to scream in the middle of the woods at times. I also exercise regularly, which helps a lot. I go into my Akashic Records to understand where they are coming from, at the source in past lives and in childhood. I am also learning to accept the anger and the sadness, and to let them be. They have information for me, and that information is valuable.
Eventually, as I listen to these feelings, they start to fade away, as their services are no longer required.
Still, the best way to move through and on from these emotions is to tap into your own intuition to guide you. Through meditation comes answers.
Prayer is asking… meditation is listening.
In the meantime, give yourself permission to FEEL. Allow the emotions to be expressed. You don’t have to let everyone know what’s going on, but a few trusted people can be there to support you. You are safe. You can do this!

Many people deal with physical pain on a regular basis. It can be hard to function when one's body is feeling such discomfort. The good news is that something can be done about this.It starts with learning about aligning the mind to help heal the body, through positive visualization, stress reduction through meditation, addressing anxiety or depression with coping strategies, and removing negative thoughts/associations/beliefs that have been received by the body and are manifesting as illness/pain. Some questions to consider in examining the roots of this are: What negative beliefs do I hold about myself that may be contributing to my symptoms? What “blocked” emotions may be contributing to this physical illness, especially as connected to relationships with others? Who have you not forgiven (including yourself)? There are many studies that show that working with the subconscious mind (especially through hypnosis) can help with medical conditions. One study (Check and Lecron, 1968) showed that “reducing emotional intrapsychic conflicts associated with one’s health and illness can be worked through with hypnotherapy,” and another study (Hall, Longo and Dixon (1982) indicated that the “capacity of hypnotic suggestion to modulate the function and activity of the immune system by changing the number and response capacity of T and B cells.” (Torem, 2007) One can learn self-hypnosis to manage discomfort with: disassociation (imagery of a peaceful place), visualizations for pain control (turning down a dial or closing a gate), glove anesthesia (imagining your hand as numb and putting your hand on the discomfort), metaphors/symbols/imagery (like going through a tunnel) to “talk to the pain.”I am delighted to offer a Managing Pain meditation to offer you some strategies and visualizations that help with discomfort you are experiencing in your body. I hope it is helpful in some way.----Merging the spiritual with the real world, Rachel Horton White helps people release negative patterns in their lives, with practical tools like mindfulness, energy and intuition exercises, to connect with their true, inner selves through this massive, planetary shift in consciousness. We have been taught to avoid feeling things that don’t feel good. And the past few years we have been through a collective trauma.
We need to heal and allow ourselves to learn from whatever is coming up, In accordance with our soul learning, to expand into higher states of consciousness and to just feel better.
This is a meditation to identify, process and then release an emotion that feels uncomfortable, tight or unwanted.
Maybe it’s new. Maybe it’s old.
Just notice it for a moment (you are safe; this is for your highest good). Remind your Inner Child that you don’t have to revisit old trauma. Just work with whatever is coming up.
Dig into it. Investigate it. Try to understand it. Allow the light to clear it. For more help in doing this, my book, Tools for the Awakening Soul, will help. Pick up a copy at my website at https://www.soulfulworkconsulting.com/the-book

When we are asked to just sit back and wait for others to move through their personal pathways of growth, and to just accept where they are at, even if it feels uncomfortable and sad for us, we are pushed. We are stretched. Some of us Type A personality types like to take action to make things happen. And often, it works. But in these situations when it comes to the free will of other people, actions do not always work. It's about vibration, energy, choice and soul contracts.
This meditation brings in the energy of a loving saint, a person of the light who once walked the Earth, St. Francis of Assisi (who unexpectedly showed up!), with the vibration of gentle creatures like birds, chipmunks and rabbits to help us feel unconditional love for others, even when at a distance, and for ourselves.

We bring in the high-vibe energy in our meditation focusing on gratitude. In the meditation, we work with the light and sacred geometry (Metatron's Cube) of Archangel Metatron, clearing our chakras, purifying our lightbodies of sludge/energy that doesn't belong - "I release what isn't mine. I let it go." We bring in light to fill up our bodies and cells to allow in high-vibration emotions: "I am truly blessed. I am one who walks in the light."

This is a meditation recorded live on the 8/8/22 Lion's Gate portal. The light that we received during this time was powerful, and allowed us to tap into our highest and best selves.
In this meditation, you will be able to view your future self in higher dimensional spaces, and then write, to co-create, in the positive and present tense, a vision of your ideal Future Self in the New Earth reality. When we put energy into words, a future vibrational blueprint is generated, just waiting to unfold for us!

This is a meditation with the loving energy of Mary Magdalene, powerful Divine Feminine energy I feel a lot these days. Her vibration is very closely linked with Jesus, and together they are the human embodiments of the Divine Masculine and the Divine Feminine. Together with Mary Magdalene, we build a garden of flowers for energetic sacred boundaries.

As fears about having enough often hold us back from doing what our souls long for, it can be helpful to reprogram our money beliefs. Doubts/fears around money are very important, as the "money stories" need to be cleared so we can be free to live in freedom and joy! When we learn to trust and align with flow of coming in and going out, and with the vibration of always having our needs met (which can take time), we allow abundance in. You will identify and flip around any thoughts and replacing the thought with a new one, to then allow the energy to be removed from your body.

The Akashic Records are a soul-level consciousness, or "energetic library," containing an archive of all souls throughout existence and their journeys and emotions. In this dimension, you can receive information about your soul, past lives for insight into patterns in this lifetime and general guidance, including soul lessons to be learned, why you incarnated with certain people and soul purpose.
In our own personal records, we are connecting with “Masters” (light beings like a Council of Elders), enlightened guides/spiritual teachers and deceased loved ones (ancestors). Overall, as the Akashic Records is very healing and powerful place, it can bring up a lot of emotion!
The connection starts with your heart (near the seat of your soul) and then goes up through your crown chakra.
After some thought, I have decided to share a meditation here to enter the Akashic Records. Please note that I normally teach people how to read the Akashic Records in a few classes. You are welcome to reach out for support or to learn about an upcoming class at https://www.soulfulworkconsulting.com. I also offer Akashic Records readings, which can help you understand this dimension of your soul more deeply.
Accessing the Akashic Records can be simply done through intention, visualization and light. You can amplify the vibration through the silent and spoken word (as our words create vibrations), which you will hear in the form of a prayer.
Have an idea of what area in your life you seek guidance (relationship, career, health, finances, creativity, your soul gifts, etc). The best types of questions are questions that start with “What,” “How,” or “Why.” Questions that involve “yes or no” answers do not work well (as you have free will and choose how your life unfolds). Before asking the question, mentally describe the situation you are addressing, like you’re talking to a trusted friend. This helps focus the energy.
Some see images and hear phrases, or experience a feeling. Dive into that feeling or that image, just allow the energy to carry you closer into it.
You can also ask to be guided to a past life. Trust that you will be shown a past life that you are meant to glimpse at this time. Notice what floats in your mind as you focus the intention.
I have provided a few words (a prayer) you are welcome to say (both aloud and silently) to further elevate your frequency and go into the specific part of the Akashic Records that you seek. Please note: you do not need to use this exact prayer to enter the Records. The silent part you hear is where you insert your own full, current, legal name. You can simply enter through your intention and through light, or use your own words.

Our souls are always evolving and growing. With each incarnation in a body, we learn lessons. These can include lessons on forgiveness, self-love or compassion for others. We work with “Masters/Council of Elders” (in the Akashic Records primarily) to decide what lessons we want to focus on in a particular life and with whom we will incarnate to help us learn those lessons. We experience evidence of reincarnation through things like déjà vu (the feeling that we have been somewhere before even though we have never been there in this life).
In addition, the unexplained skills of children (musical prodigies, speaking a foreign language) can be attributed to their proficiency in that area in a past life. Deep, irrational fears/phobias or vows (of poverty, chastity, etc.) can also come from past lives. Old souls are those who are said to have experienced many lifetimes!
Even though we may set out to learn particular lessons and various events may unfold in a predestined way, remember that we still have free will. This is a Divine law: we can make choices in our lives! If we happen to make choices that are not ideal, then we will choose to work on that particular soul lesson in the next life – to resolve conflicts with others or to attain higher knowledge in our soul development. We incarnate with the same groups of people through recurring lifetimes. Often we seek to learn lessons through alternating relationships – (such as master/servant, husband/wife, parent/child). This helps us to understand how another person has been treated/has felt.
This is a Past Life Healing meditation to help you open your mind to access images, feelings and memories stored in your subconscious. We will focus on an intention to direct the subconscious mind to learn about the source of a particular issue/relationship/fear/phobia in your life. If you do not have a problem to be resolved, you can simply intend to learn more about how you can grow in your soul or acquire a particular skill to help you in this life.
Please note that past lives can be often traumatic to view and the emotions can be intense. Allow yourself time to process what came up, including writing a letter to your past life self (and vice versa) to continue the healing.
If you'd like to go deeper, past life regressions are what I recommend! https://www.soulfulworkconsulting.com/past-life-regression

Now, more than ever, we need to anchor in Light. And that light is of the highest vibration of love, of the Christed one, the Christed self, the Christ-consciousness. Remember that ANYTHING that causes fear is not in our highest good. And I mean anything. Yes, we can be vigilant to keep ourselves healthy and free, yet not at the cost of living in fear. And the last thing we need is division among people. We need unity. We need compassion. We need empathy. This is the only way we will bring in the 5D way. And you, as light-workers, are here to anchor that light.
This is a guided meditation to help us anchor in light. I hope you enjoy.

This is a DNA activation and energetic healing meditation that channels Arcturian energy to help us align and clear. Arcturians are higher-dimensional beings of pure light and of a very high vibration, who helped seed the human race, and their love is infinite and so healing. (These Arcturians have showed up more and more in the Akashic Records recently... they have big eyes and a crystalline blue/purple/silver color...)
In this meditation, we receive crystalline starlight to activate our hearts and our lightbodies, in a form of psychic surgery as energetic blocks are removed from our bodies. We are seen with deep love, devotion, admiration and unconditional love by these Arcturian mothers. They have been with us for so long, as they have birthed us and have been watching us from afar. Releasing fear, we feel like we are going home when we are with their energy.

We can align with the vibration of the Earth to rise above the fray of the 3D heaviness, much like the sap rising above and through the veins of a tree.🌳
In this meditation, we come into our higher selves, observing our human experience. We then can observe how each soul on this planet, regardless of that soul's perspective, level of consciousness and spiritual awareness, is equally a part of the same Source energy that we are. When we remember that we are each expressions of that same God-source, we can find common ground. We can rise above with understanding for the "other", bringing in the 5D.
We can come from a place of love and still hold our boundaries of truth, standing strong and rising above the division and conflict. We can look for the common ground and find the good in everyone... no matter their perspective. Empathy and understanding is how we bring in the New Earth!

For years, the Divine Feminine has been suppressed, removed, mocked and vilified in almost every mainstream aspect of the modern world, especially in religion. Now, we are being asked to remember the Divine Feminine, which is our true essence as creators. Gaia, Mother Earth, Shakti, Kali, Mother Mary, Quan Yin, Mary Magdalene and many other Divine Feminine energies are now with us to access. Like the element of water and a cup that receives the yin vibration, the Divine Feminine power is that which creates and sustains life. In this meditation, you will connect with your own Divine Feminine life-force to summon up your inner, luminous beauty to help birth the Sophia Goddess energy and fully bring humanity into the unity consciousness of the New Earth.

When we bring in light to our hearts, in a circle of light with other souls, we energetically connect with other humans and clear up any negative energy of conflict, judgment or condemning between us. With so much division among people (politically and philosophically), finding common ground is crucial! This light has a ripple effect on the planet, for each human to expand into a vibration of love. This love will carry us toward healing and the New Earth!

Many of us are experiencing a form of collective trauma right now. As our 3D world is being dismantled, this means a loss of our old world. This can bring up a lot of emotions - anger, fear and sadness in particular. These are part of the grieving process, When we allow ourselves to fully acknowledge and feel these emotions, they can begin to be released so we can move toward acceptance and healing.

This meditation helps us connect with the energy of Archangel Gabriel. The energy of this archangel, which is both a masculine and feminine energy, is about communication, fertility and truth. Gabriel is the messenger of God and is the first angel mentioned in the Bible, and also communicated with the prophet Muhammed.
We can invite in angels, simply by asking (focusing in, taking a deep breath and saying the angel's name three times, or just asking to be connected with the right angel to be with us) and they will help us anytime we choose.

In this meditation, we have the opportunity to visualize and co-create our future self. This is a divine gift we have as humans - to create a vibration of how we want to feel in our lives. Writing it down after doing this meditation (see https://www.soulfulworkconsulting.com/resources for a Future Self writing tool) helps to make this a blueprint, like your "ordering a meal" at the restaurant of the universe! The next step is moving past any subconscious blocks (fears/doubts/worries) that will try to lower the vibration from finding you!

This is a meditation, called Your Inner Child, to connect with that inner child part of us ... to enlist her/his help for our expansion into the highest and best version of who we really are.
I often will guide clients in guided imagery to make friends with their inner child, that little girl/boy part of us, and ask it wants for us, what it needs, and what it is willing to do to help us. We all have been wounded in some ways in our childhood, and these wounds can get buried deeply in our hearts and minds. Sometimes, they surface in bizarre ways in our life, unconsciously below our level of awareness.
When we take the time to go inward (and using a modality like hypnotherapy/guided imagery is often one of the only ways to move past the resistance of the conscious mind), we can excavate what has been imprinted in ourselves, digging out the root of the issue. It's amazing what will come up when we go deep into the subconscious and connect with the inner child.... sometimes they are scared, angry or very helpful. The ideas that can come up for action steps are what our hearts know are truly right for us. And the healing that can result from this work can be truly life-changing.
Heads up that this can be very emotional! I recommend ensuring that you have a safe space wherever you are to safely process afterward, allowing the feelings to be released.

This meditation is designed to offer high-vibration energy healing from the Pleiadians, multi-dimensional beings deeply connected to humans who are filled with love and expanded consciousness. This energy, which I perceive as three wavy rays of blue light, is here on Earth to help us activate our light bodies and expand into our true essences as spiritual beings.

In this meditation, we will focus on healing and transmuting any negative thoughts/behavior/words we have projected onto those amazing vessels we chose upon incarnation, our bodies. I spent years forcing my body to do something it may not have wanted to do, and ignored the messages it was sending me. When my body started communicating messages to me through back pain and injury to my left leg (many of them!), I realized that something was happening and wanted to send energetic love and healing to my body.
Especially for women, our society projects unrealistic, and unhealthy, ideals of what our bodies "should" look like. This can lead to us trying to change, starve or otherwise abuse our bodies, wishing them to be something else. After birthing children, our bodies change and show the residual effects of the miracle of being a mother. Instead of trying to change and become what the unrealistic media expects female bodies to look it, why not embrace all of our parts for what they are? As women, our bodies remind us of our power as giving life, the Divine feminine and the sacred wisdom found within.
When we can learn to love our imperfections and the information our body parts are trying to share with us, we can be more complete and whole in our process of healing ourselves and humanity.
This will be a time of healing to apologize to our bodies, to give thanks for our bodies and to listen to any messages they (and our various body parts have for us). Invoking the energy of Archangel Raphael, we will send healing light to parts of our bodies (hands-on healing) that are in need, and receiving messages from our body parts. We will heart-link and connect with the essence of our bodies, releasing, clearing, unconditionally loving and making whole what was once mistreated.

Hypnotherapy is a powerful way to change unwanted thought patterns, habits and behaviors held in the subconscious. A hypnotherapy session is like a guided meditation, but in a deeper state of relaxation. The conscious mind is not present in hypnosis, so the subconscious can be open to receiving new suggestions, remove negative thought patterns and replace them with positive thoughts. There is a lot of misinformation out there about hypnosis (thanks to stage hypnosis “tricks”): you are always fully in control in hypnosis, and you would never do anything you would not want to do. Almost everyone can be hypnotized!

New moons are powerful times for releasing old patterns, attachments, stories and negative emotions that no longer serve us and inviting in the new positive associations, thoughts, energy and intentions!. In fact, the eclipses and lunar energy swirling around us on Earth are already doing the work in helping us to do this - automatically!
To make the releasing of the old and welcoming in the new more effective for you, for this meditation, you can intentionally focus on what you would like to bring into your life - focusing on what you would like to invite in to help you evolve and grow. In this meditation, please find a 4-5 objects that you find outside or that feel sacred to you (flower, feather, shell, crystal, etc.) and arrange them in a circle with a pattern that feels right for you.
In the meditation, we will connect with the energy and vibration of this mandala to help you release the old and invite in what you seek.

As we expand in our awakening, we begin to understand that we are deeply connected to the essences of nature - the trees, rocks, wind, sun and even the flowers. We learn that each of these elements contains a particular vibration and energy.

This is a meditation to link your own energy with the energy all around you. By tuning in to your environment, you can feel the web of life and light that connects each living being to one another. This also brings a sense of presence and awareness to life, and a sense of awakening consciousness to the spirit in all that is. May this be of service in some way.

I was blessed to speak with Tommy Greene last year, a gentle soul who I encountered on social media sharing messages of light and truth. In this interview, Truth, Light and Healing from Addiction, Tommy inspired me with his story, of overcoming drug addiction to now channeling light, truth for the healing of others. Tommy sends me and about 50 other people individual messages almost every day to bring peace and uplift our souls.
Here is a sample: "Hi Rachel, hope you are having an amazing day! Taking time to love, honor and appreciate the amazing, beautiful spirit of source energy you truly are! Allowing yourself to be open and receptive to all the wonderful opportunities the universe is conspiring to manifest into your physical reality. Doing your best to always be moving forward down your own unique path and trusting in the intuitive intelligence of your soul and the wisdom of synchronicity to help guide you along the way. Finding gratitude for all you have, all you are and all that is and coming to a place of allowance and peace within in order for the deepest aspirations and fulfillment of your being to become fully realized and expressed."

I am so happy today to share an interview I did with my very own uncle, Keenan Dakota. For about 35 years, Keenan has lived on Twin Oaks Intentional Community in Louisa, Virginia. Founded in 1967, Twin Oaks one of the oldest and most well-established income-sharing communities in the United States. Keenan is one of the longest-serving members there, and has been interviewed about Twin Oaks for CNN, the Washington Post, and ABC News.
In our interview, Keenan shares what life is like at Twin Oaks. He dispels some common misperceptions about intentional communities like Twin Oaks, and shares his perspective on how Twin Oaks members have created a utopian, alternative lifestyle that is a dream for many.
For many people who are seeking a better way of living, away from our consumer-driven capitalistic society, sharing resources, food and livelihoods like this might be an ideal solution. I hope you find this interview, as I did, to be illuminating, thought-provoking and inspiring.

This is a meditation and a writing exercise, so have writing materials nearby. In this guided imagery exercise, you will call into your mind a desire you have in your life, and “float” possible action steps toward making this desire a reality. You will then be guided to choose one that has the most flow and ease of energy, and that can be easily integrated into your life. You may be amazed at how helpful this is!

Meditation is different than mindfulness: meditation is setting aside time to focus on the breath and train the mind. Mindfulness is focused attention on a specific activity in a purposeful, non-judgmental way.
Mindfulness is important because we train our brain to be more in the moment in various areas of our lives. It can lead more focus, more concentration, heightened productivity in any area of life.

It is such an honor for me to share an interview with one of the kindest souls I have ever met. She is Liz Colburn, and she has cared for my children for the past 6 years. My life changed when I met Lizzy, in more ways than one. Liz embodies compassion and kindness, showering pure love on everyone she meets. If you meet Liz, you will feel her light shine on you too. And this interview is one that touched me deeply, to hear of her life experiences and her overcoming deep trauma to be the luminous soul that she is today, experiencing the healing and miraculous presence of angels to help her through the pain. It is truly a blessing for me to know Liz Colburn. I believe that she is actually an "angel among us."
Liz Colburn lives in Portland, Maine with her husband Dan. She has a daughter, Lauren, who lives with her wife in Sacramento, California. Liz works with people in the beginning of life and in the end of life. She is a part-time nanny for young children and has spent time with many people in end-of-life work through hospice and other organizations. Liz is on staff with the Edgebrook Moving Through Grief, Trauma and Loss residential workshops and also does spiritual mentoring for young adults. Knowing that you only can take people as far as you’re willing to go yourself, Liz comes to this work honestly because she has faced the deep wounds of her own traumatic early childhood. As she was not seen and heard as a child, she loves being present with children so that they can feel seen, heard and loved.

There is something magical happening right now. Many of us are awakening to the understanding that we are so much more than we have been taught.
We are all linked, more intimately connected than we may realize. We are powerful as healers, as creators, as beings of light.
The energies of the Earth are shifting. We are receiving frequencies from beyond our planet that are activating our DNA. Like a radio antenna that was broken in two, we are piecing that antenna back together to receive light, which is information. Through meditation, we are re-wiring our brains to learn to listen to, and trust our inner guidance, our intuition, our spirit guides, angels, masters, teachers, loved ones, Source/Spirit/God.
What does this massive shift in consciousness mean in our individual lives? How can we come to terms with what is happening?
I was honored to give this sermon as a guest at the First Parish Unitarian Universalist Church in Portland Maine. I share it with you now. May it be of service in some way.

In this meditation, you will see where the flow is along your manifesting a goal in your life (using the law of attraction). Sometimes we get stuck along the way and get frustrated that it's not "working." This guided imagery of a canoe in a river along the journey of life may help.

We are expanding and opening to new levels. We will be diving into our awakening and the essence of our re-discovering our souls and their unique gifts.
We are being called upon, with the energies of the Earth shifting so rapidly, to dig deep into our shadow sides, our Egos. All of our other work in evolving and doing light work cannot be fully expressed in our human bodies or souls without this essential work. It is not easy, and it is not always fun. But it will free the wild, true aspect of who you are, and bring you to a whole new level in your consciousness expansion.
This meditation will help you identify, and separate from, the energy of the protective ego. You will pinpoint where a negative aspect of your ego resides in your body, identifying its vibration/color/texture, and release it from your body in an energetic separation, replacing new positive energy where this heaviness once resided.

In this meditation, we have the opportunity to see the potential path ahead that is that of our highest and best self, our possible future. After intuitively tapping in to an impression or picture we get of this future, we then can begin to face any fears we feel in our bodies as we think about putting ourselves out there and taking action to get closer to this future goal. By visualizing and separating from these fears, and using light to bring about a new vibration of the brilliant future possibility of that which we can become, we can begin to set ourselves free.

Sometimes we come across people in our lives who we find incredibly inspiring, who persevere through significant difficulty for a greater cause. When it comes to our children, as parents we can be sometimes unstoppable. This is the case with Bo Bigelow, who exemplifies someone walking a courageous path through his advocacy for his daughter, tirelessly seeking answers on the rare disease that has rendered her non-verbal, and also in through political activism that is having a direct impact in our country today. I hope you enjoy this inspiring conversation with Bo.

This guided meditation on envisioning your future self will help you create a vision for your potential future. Did you know we are much more powerful than we have ever been taught? Yes, we have soul lessons to learn, but when we learn to work with our personal vibration and with the resonance of all things, and work through any self-limiting beliefs, we can manifesting our ideal lives, or the way of being that our soul knows is possible for us. It’s about the law of attraction, which is one of many Divine laws that govern our existence. We are essentially creating a vibration as we envision our potential future self, and then it’s just up to us to trust, take action and align our current reality (and vibration) to make that vision come into fruition!
Use your feelings to guide you (your intuition)! You can then write about what you saw/felt/experienced in a writing reflection (learn more about that at www.soulfulworkconsulting.com).
So many of us are longing to just make something with our hands, to get back in touch with the basic human desires of years past to plant, make and create. Kimberly Coburn has created an initiative that does just that, but with intention: connecting people with ways to learn sustainable, back-to-Earth skills through Homestead Atlanta. Join us for this conversation on her role in the movement away from consumerism, globalism and materialism back to human-scaled living and self-reliance. This work is a key component of our massive shift in consciousness to an age of unity, shared understanding and coming from a place of love for each other and for the Earth. May this inspire us all to share food with a neighbor, grow some veggies in our yards or just learn how to knit. It will fuel our souls and our hearts in more ways than we know.

I am always inspired when I come across people sharing their full, creative selves with the world. Ann Lawton is one of those people, not only making beautiful things and putting them out there, but also supporting people struggling in some way with expressing their soul through creating something with their hands as an art therapist.
Join us for a conversation on how art can be used to express our innermost selves when words fail us, how we can overcome our fear of rejection/not being good enough to just start playing with color or even Dollar Store toys, to re-discover our creative nature and express what's deep within us longing to come out. Be sure to check out at 17:00 our conversation around what happens to squelch children's creativity, increasing our self-doubt, at a young age and how our traditional educational system needs to change to support our self-expression.
Ann E. Lawton believes that art has the potential to heal, transform and empower individuals and communities. As a Registered Art Therapist, she has worked with inmates, domestic abuse survivors, young adults with depression and anxiety, addicts and individuals with cognitive impairments.
As an artist, Lawton investigates the essences of everyday experiences and circumstances. Visual expression and the process of art making allows her the perspective to transform random, seemingly meaningless events into meaningful and contemplated moments of significance. The splices of paper and washes of paint in her work try to blend the balance between spontaneity and structure visually, yet also serve as the symbolic mirror of the constant swell and swale of finding that balance in her personal and professional life.
Lawton received her Bachelors of Science in Broad Area Art with a minor in psychology from the University of Wisconsin—River Falls and her Masters in Science in Art Therapy from Mount Mary University in Milwaukee. She teaches full-time in the art department at UWRF and conducts adult and child art enrichment classes at various local institutions in Western Wisconsin.

How can we learn to trust our intuition to guide us in life? Why is it that our manifestation efforts don’t seem to “work” sometimes? In this interview, Graham Connolly, a psychic/medium (and former engineer), explores these ideas based on his own life experience of bridging the analytical with the intuitive, with coming to embrace his psychic gifts, and with his work now in shamanic healing and teaching about mediumship. Learn about why we experience trauma in our lives (part of our soul contract with another about a lesson to learn), how to make friends with the negative Ego trying to hold us back, and how you can begin to do intuitive work yourself by becoming “comfortable with the uncomfortable.”
Graham Connolly is a professional psychic/medium, Life record facilitator (Current, Past, Akashic), Reiki Master, shamanic practitioner, healer, author (Mediumship and All Things Metaphysical), mentor and Certified Trainer for Mike Dooley's award winning Infinite Possibilities: The Art of Living Your Dreams program. Pesticide use is one of the hidden killers of many forms of life. Bees, which are crucial to sustaining our food supply, are dying at unprecedented rates due to chemical poisoning from spraying of lawns, golf courses, orchards and other grassy areas and plants. Pesticide consumption on fruit, vegetables and exposure from lawn care companies is linked to cancer rates among children and animals. Thankfully, activists like Avery Yale Kamila are working hard to educate us all about the dangers of this, and the importance of buying organic and allowing our lawns to grow naturally. In this interview, Avery discusses her work through Portland Protectors, what lawn care/pesticide companies are hiding from you and how we can all take small steps to promote chemical-free lawns, plants and bees.
Be sure to listen at 19:26 on how lawn care companies are not telling you the full story when it comes to "partially organic" spraying for lawns. And at 34:00 on simple steps you can take now to help make a difference.
Avery Yale Kamila is a long-time food columnist for the Portland Press Herald in Portland, Maine, where she currently writes the Vegan Kitchen column. In 2015, she co-founded Portland Protectors, a grassroots group working to pass an organic lawn care ordinance in the city. She studied science at SUNY, College of Environmental Science and Forestry and journalism at Syracuse University. She lives with her husband and son in downtown Portland.

I had the joy of speaking with Paul Knoll recently about his work in To Live For, his sharing the stories of others, and his experiences in his shamanic practice. Join me for this conversation with Paul about promoting the passions and gifts of others, learning from the wisdom of animals and Native American traditions, and how we can rediscover our childhood gifts and connect with Nature to find our purpose and listen better to the Earth.
Paul spent nearly 20 years in education as a counselor and administrator at the college, high school, and middle school levels. Once driven to become a leading educator in public schools, a brain injury from toxic mold in his school forced Paul to re-learn basic living and communication skills, but this very difficult time helped him to realize that he needed to find a healthier way to live. As a child, Paul was very engaged and intrigued by the Native American culture, so his injury helped him reconnect to his childhood gifts and passions. Through various alternative healing modalities, Paul became very interested in the shamanic practice, and has since helped others become more deeply connected with their inner self and with the beautiful nature that surrounds us. He promotes the concept of living in unison and trust with nature, living simply, and caring for each other, our communities, and our globe.
Paul was honored to be a story teller for the live production of The Moth Radio Hour at the State Theater in Portland, Maine in June 2013. This story was distributed nationally and world wide in the winter of 2015. Paul’s stories and poems have been published across New England in newspapers and magazines and on radio shows. He enjoys scuba diving, photography, biking, golf, learning to dance, surfing, travel, and just being by the ocean. Paul has two amazing daughters, Ally and Anne, who have supported him during some very challenging times. They are to live for!
Paul founded To Live For with his wife Donna Maria to bring upliftment, positive energy, and inspiration to many people around the world. Learn more at www.tolivefor.org.

Forgiving ourselves, forgiving another, or asking for forgiveness can be exceedingly difficult. Admitting that we have wronged another, or that we have been holding a grudge against another, is not a feeling in which we often choose to dwell. So we often push the feeling aside, hoping it will go away. But it doesn't. Instead, these negative feelings can create energy blockages that have ripple effects in other areas of our lives. This live guided meditation will guide you through the process of first forgiving yourself (a crucial foundational step), then to forgiving another and releasing what no longer serves us, and lastly to asking the soul of another for forgiveness.

During the holidays or family gatherings in particular, we spend a lot of time with those outside of ourselves. We may feel re-energized or sapped from these interactions. We may feel centered or off-balance.
This guided meditation is designed to help you re-connect to your inner self, to who you are deep down, so that you may find a sense of centeredness and alignment once again.

Many of us are aware that humans have been causing the destruction of the Earth for years now. We often feel scared, angry and helpless about what we can do to shift the tides and heal the planet. Thankfully, there is a movement afoot, called The Great Turning, founded by Joanna Macy, which provides us with a course of action as we move from an industrial growth society to one that supports and nurtures all forms of life on Earth. Claire Maitre is a teacher and a leader in this movement through the Work That Reconnects network. I am so delighted to share this interview today with Claire. Be sure to check out at 50:47 Claire's hopeful message about how, by focusing purely on love and on small, everyday actions, we can help to heal ourselves and our Earth.
Claire Maitre has trained extensively with Dr. Joanna Macy to facilitate workshops in the Work That Reconnects [http://workthatreconnects.org], designed to help us uncover and experience our innate connections with each other and the healing powers of the web of life so that we can discover our role in creating a life-sustaining civilization. Pioneered by Joanna Macy since the late 1970’s, this highly experiential and interactive work draws from systems thinking, deep ecology, and many spiritual traditions. Claire facilitates workshops primarily in SE Michigan and loves to help people reconnect with their sense of purpose and meaning for being here on Earth at this momentous time in human history. Claire currently lives in an intentional community in Ann Arbor, Michigan and is inspired in her work by caring for her grandsons, ages 2 and 5. Claire’s website: http://chrysalistransitions.com/

Large workplaces can be intimidating places for employees, especially for those who are unhappy in their jobs. Michael Levine exemplifies someone working to change that. In this interview, Michael shares how he found the courage to speak up and advocate, on a regular basis, for positive culture change in an institutional setting. He also shares words of advice to those who are looking for a new career... it's about trusting the universe! Michael's energy, positive outlook and passions outside of his job will surely inspire many of us in the workforce to similarly create a happier work environment and life!

He is the founding Producing Director of Acorn Productions and has also been teaching and directing theater in Portland since the mid 1990's. It is my honor to introduce the story of my friend Jamie O'Sullivan. A business owner, deejay, and hair cutter/colorist, Jamie is a wise, old soul who has shared his mind-expanding thoughts with me over the years (as he styles my hair).
In this interview, Jamie boldly shares his story of how receiving an HIV diagnosis at a young age changed his life forever and opened his heart and soul to appreciating life, especially by being connected to others and to something beyond himself. In making the simple choice to live, rather than accepting a possibility of death, Jamie is an inspiration.
James Alton O'Sullivan was born on December 4, 1974 in Manchester, New Hampshire. He grew up in New Hampshire, Rhode Island and Massachusetts. By age 5 his parents had decided to move home to their home state of Maine. Since then Portland Maine has been Jamie's home. He graduated from Portland High School in 1993, and after a short stint at the Evergreen State College, he attended Pierre's School of Beauty. Jamie has been a licensed Cosmetologist since 1998, and currently has a salon at 142 High Street, Suite 512 in Portland, Maine (contact Jamie at 207-318-7895).
His hobbies included deejaying, snowboarding, skateboarding, camping, swimming, biking, and really anything outside. At home he loves to cook, listen to music and watch endless amounts of television and movies.

I have been blessed to have had the opportunity speak with a wise and compassionate soul, Robert Atkinson. Through his fascinating life studying with Joseph Campbell and Pete Seeger, living in a Franciscan monastery, and delving into soul-making through the journey of the hero and through the Baha'i faith, Bob has a depth of wisdom that will surely help us all in our evolution toward our collective unity as the consciousness of one. Don't miss at 32:52 his sharing on the three phases of the evolution of human consciousness (through his next book), the last of which we are entering now as we return to our sacred roots of living in alignment with all that is.
Robert Atkinson, Ph.D., is an internationally acknowledged authority on life story interviewing and a pioneer in the deeper techniques of personal myth-making and soul-making. His books in these areas have been translated in to three languages and are widely used in personal growth and life review settings.

In this interview, Patrick Roche discusses the power of co-working and people's deep urges, a tribal mentality of sorts, to interact with other human beings. Ralph McGehee was one of the most courageous humans I have ever met, as he passed on from this world on May 2, 2020 at age 92 years old. He also happens to be my grandfather, my Papa. It is my deep honor to have had the privilege to interview him about his life serving in the CIA in Southeast Asia, and his disillusionment with what he was being asked to do by the US government. His bravery in sharing the truth, in going public with a book that was widely received by the press and the American public. He was an inspiration to me and I think to many others as well.
Ralph Walter McGehee was an American former officer of the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA). He worked for the CIA from 1952 to 1977, yet went on to be highly critical of the agency. He was an All-American football player atUniversity of Notre Dame when they won three national championships in 1946-1949. McGehee received a B.S. in Business Administration cum laude). Upon graduation, he spent a year as an offensive line coach at University of Dayton. After moving to Chicago and taking a job as a management trainee at Montgomery Ward, he was recruited by the CIA. Upon completion of training, he was stationed in numerous field offices as well as at CIA headquarters. Since leaving the CIA, he has been highly critical of the organization. In spite of this, in 1977 McGehee was awarded the CIA's Career Intelligence Medal. His 1983 book, Deadly Deceits: My 25 Years in the CIA outlines his experiences there. Alexander Cockburn and Jeffrey St. Clair hailed it as "one of the outstanding books written by former CIA agents". McGehee has written articles on CIA activities for the Washington Post, The Nation, The Progressive, Harper's Magazine and Gannet News Service among others. He has also developed CIABASE, a computer database of CIA figures and programs compiled from available public information.
"The CIA is not now nor has it ever been a central intelligence agency. It is the covert action arm of the President's foreign policy advisers. In that capacity it overthrows or supports foreign governments while reporting "intelligence" justifying those activities. It shapes its intelligence, even in such critical areas as Soviet nuclear weapon capability, to support presidential policy. Disinformation is a large part of its covert action responsibility, and the American people are the primary target audience of its lies." - Ralph McGehee

Join me for this illuminating interview with Parivash Rohani, who left her native country of Iran fleeing religious persecution due to her Baha'i Faith and now is an activist for social justice and freedom. Her words about the importance of standing up for what you believe in, working with other people and weaving humanity together in truth and love.
Parivash Rohani left Iran and fled to India in 1979 due to religious persecution. She arrived in the United States in 1986 as an immigrant. Currently she lives in Portland with her husband and children. Professionally, she is a ICU registered nurse. She has been involved with many humanitarian, environmental, and interfaith projects. Her involvement in MIPL and International human right campaign "Education Is Not A Crime" is due to her firm conviction that change happens organically at the grass roots level, and justice demands universal participation. Parivash believes it is our moral obligation to be involved in social action and participate in the prevalent discourse of society.
To Light a Candle (2014) is a film about the triumph of knowledge over intolerance. The Baha’is are Iran’s largest religious minority. They are persecuted because of their faith, and barred from teaching and studying at university. But Baha'is do teach, and do study. The Baha’i Institute for Higher Education (BIHE) was established in 1987 to give young Baha’is a chance to pursue knowledge and receive a quality education The informal courses take place in people’s homes, via mail correspondence, and with online lectures. The Iranian government regularly raids BIHE classes and arrests its students and teachers. Hundreds of Baha’is have been jailed simply for teaching and studying at BIHE. Yet, many Muslim Iranians support the right of the Baha’is to higher education and fight for the full enjoyment of civil and human rights by all Baha’is. Maziar Bahari’s To Light a Candle is a hopeful story of the BIHE and Iran. In 2015 the film sparked the global Education Is Not A Crime campaign for universal access to higher education. The last Friday of every February will be celebrated as Education is not a Crime day. The campaign has been endorsed by a string of Nobel laureates and other prominent figures around the world. Official website is http://www.notacrime.me/ .
In the spirit of justice, freedom, and our shared humanity, please check out and spread the word about this important film and work of Education is Not a Crime!

I have been waiting for some time to interview this incredible woman, my former coach, who helped me change my life to do this work. Join me for this illuminating conversation with Lael Jepson of SheChanges about mustering courage, getting to the edge of fear, and riveting storytelling.
Lael Couper Jepson is the owner of SheChanges, a Portland-based business that supports women in more fully unleashing their power to be architects of change – for their lives, their business, or as leaders within organizations and communities.
As a certified professional coach with an extensive background in consulting and organizational change, Lael has worked with women nationally over the past ten years in her business, making a name for herself and her SheChanges community as the place where women take themselves, their visions, and their specific ideas for change seriously — but it in a way that deeply honors their own resourcefulness so women don’t wait to feel “ready” or “enough”. Instead they take inspired action, and trust they will figure it out as they go. And they do.
Lael is passionate about storytelling as a means for women to not feel so alone, and has held countless local events such as SheSpeaks, Homecoming, and Mustang Sallies to inspire women to share their stories more publicly as a means to ignite courageous action. Most recently, Lael wrote about her own story in her book, Unscripted: A Woman’s Living Prayer.

I hope you enjoy this "quieting the mind" exercise, the first in a series I will be adding to this podcast. This meditation focuses on body relaxation, opening, and a short visualization of creating your future self. This vision that you create of what you are doing, who you are talking to, and most importantly, how you feel, can be carried into your waking life. Consider the possibility that you have now brought this future self closer to you, and that it is a blueprint of a possible future that lies ahead. Live in the blissful feeling of being aligned with your life's purpose and hold onto that feeling, that vision, that self, as much as you can. And thank you for listening.
I was blessed with the opportunity to chat with Heather Nichols, an intuitive healer, Tarot and astrology reader, and owner of Stones & Stuff in Portland, Maine. Join me for this rich conversation about her tapping into universal and loving wisdom, supporting others to access their emotions and to step through fear along the path to their higher purpose in life.
Heather Nichols has been adding new life to the business Stones & Stuff since 2003, when she purchased the shop from her dear friend David. It is her belief that there is a lovely balance of science and faith that comes with crystal healing and manifesting. Even if you don't believe in stone healing, one cannot deny their beauty.

Join me for an interview with Frank Sanfilippo, a friend, fellow spiritual seeker, and one of the most peaceful, kind, gentle souls I have ever me, who who embodies the concept of a bodhisattva (he would probably not want me to say that). A kindred soul who is giving back to the world through supporting others in therapeutic and quiet ways.
Frank Sanfilippo has been involved in the Shambhala Lineage of meditation since the early 1990's. He is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who integrates the teachings of Shambhala with his therapy practice. He enjoys playing the drums and loves playing music with friends. For my very first podcast interview, I was blessed with the opportunity to speak with an old friend of mine from my college days, Jeff Lieberman. A gifted physicist, artist, musician, and so much, much more. Please check out his thoughts on energy, spirituality, meditation, creativity and inspiration, and hope.
Jeff Lieberman explores the connections between the arts, sciences, education, creativity, and consciousness. He hosted 'Time Warp' on the Discovery Channel, reminding us how little our senses detect and understand about reality. He composes music in the duo Knolls. He shows sculptures internationally, exploring our unseen interconnectedness and interdependence. Having finished four degrees at MIT (Physics, Math, Mech. Eng., Media Arts + Sciences), he is exploring how the evolution of consciousness can cease human suffering.
