In this week’s podcast Alfonso Greenbrook looks over the game against West Ham United on Saturday evening, were the Eagles finally ended their unbeaten run. Once again Palace started the game slowly and were punished early on, with West Ham taking the insurmountable 1-0 lead. However a rejuvenated second half saw Palace have many chances to level, but they either didn’t fall to them or were missed. Benteke's penalty miss (WAY over the Whitehorse Lane Stand) just before half time hampered Palaces tempo and stopped the Eagles finding a way back into the game, even though a late equaliser would arguably have been deserved.
