As we ascend the hill of Gethsemane, we find our Lord in deep agony as he prepares to suffer not only the death of Roman crucifixion, but the cup of His Father’s wrath. Here we are reminded of the lengths Jesus went to secure our freedom, the necessity of watchful prayer to resist temptation & the raw honesty & vulnerability that we too can have as we approach our heavenly Father.
