Even though Christmas falls at the same time every year, it always seems to catch us by surprise! It has a way of throwing us into a whirlwind shopping, decorating, baking, caroling and trying to keep up with the cheery demands of the season. When you finally dig yourself out of the mountain of wrapping paper it can leave you asking your self the question, is there something more?
The first Christmas was the most anticipated, and yet unexpected event in human history. It came suddenly and not only radically changed the lives of two young parents, but it literally changed the world with a gift of hope like none the world had ever seen.
Join us this December at Bethlehem, as we talk about how this highly anticipated, and yet completely unexpected event we call Christmas has the power still has the power to pour hope into your life today.

What if genuine faith begins with admitting we will never have our act completely together? Maybe messy disciples are exactly the kind of imperfect people Jesus came to earth for and whose company He actually enjoyed- and still enjoys. If you want to find Jesus today, look for Him in the midst of the burned-out believers, moral misfits, religious incompetents... men and women whose lives are, well, messy.
1 Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen. 2 For by it the people of old received their commendation. 3 By faith we understand that the universe was created by the word of God, so that what is seen was not made out of things that are visible. How do you tell someone not to give up, when things seem hopeless? When you're facing the storm there is something that can bring you through it. How do you explain there are always second chances? That your not guilty even after everything you’ve done. How can you experience joy is the celebration in the celebration and the sadness? How do you explain something that makes room for everyone? Grace. It just sounds too good to be true.

We all need grace, Grace is the unmerited favor of God, and when we step inside of His grace we find freedom, forgiveness, and assurance.

It is when we feel we don’t have what we need to persevere that we see most clearly Jesus’ grace which fills us with the strength we need.
Put your hope in the Jesus who saves, and not just the objects used to point His direction.
Jesus saved the world by stepping into the world in a familiar form to share an unfamiliar message, and he calls us to do the same.
