So many times we are focused on WHO will make us happy – we’re stuck on finding the right person, so much so that we forget about BEING the right person. We’re going to look at Jacob’s story, and how he was running from everyone in his life, seeking position, blessing, and even women. When God finally got ahold of Jacob, His desire was to work on his heart and heal the wounds that were there. We’re challenging students that the first thing we need to ask Jesus is to work on us, not help us find a date.
Samson was a man set apart from birth to be used by God in special ways – there was just one problem. He was obsessed with being in a relationship with women. We’re going to challenge students to take a look at their relationships, and evaluate how much value they place on that compared to living God’s best for them.
