This is a clip from my Mandarin lesson a few days ago. In this lesson, I am reading a short story out loud to my teacher that I wrote in Mandarin. From there, my teacher and I send some time going through all the corrections. Below I have included the original text that I wrote and the corrected version. When I wrote this text, I was trying to incorporate as many words that I recently learned. Hope you like this podcast!

Original:

很多年以前有一个人叫大卫。他最喜欢的爱好是打雪仗和堆雪人。有一天大卫决定了堆了一个非常大的雪人，原来他过了所有的周末堆。不巧，发生了一个问题：星期一温度提高了，所以他的雪人融化了。太糟糕了！大卫不仅难过而且生气。之所以他感觉这样，是因为融化以前没有时间给妈妈爸爸看他堆的雪人。可是，不管融化了，大卫还是告诉妈妈爸爸他的故事。妈妈爸爸说：大卫，你应该确定天气呀！

Corrected: 

很多年以前有一个人叫大卫。他有很多爱好，但他最喜欢的是打雪仗和堆雪人。有一天大卫堆了一个非常大的雪人，他和雪人过了一个愉快的周末。但不巧，发生了一个问题：星期一温度升高了，所以他的雪人融化了。太糟糕了！大卫不仅难过而且很生气。之所以他感觉这样， 是因为他没来得及给妈妈爸爸看他堆的雪人。可是, 大卫还是把这件事情告诉了妈妈爸爸 。妈妈爸爸说：大卫，堆雪人前你应该确定一下天气呀!
