Gabriel says "Daniel's 70 Weeks" are (a.) broken up into chunks of time with gaps in between them, and (b.) there is a clear event - a decree - which starts it all. The decree is to "rebuild Jerusalem," so just when is that specific decree given? Four decrees by 3 Gentile rulers: Cyrus, Darius, and Artexerxes are introduced as possible candidates.
