Dr. Peter Grinspoon is a physician at Massachusetts General Hospital and teaches at Harvard Medical School. He is an expert in addiction medicine and cannabis respectively. Peter is also the author of the book Free Refills: A Doctor Confronts His Addiction, which is a memoirs detailing his experience with opiate addiction as well as his subsequent recovery.
We talked about his book as well as MAT (Medication Assisted Treatment) for opioid addiction (Peter's take is very different than our first guest of the season, Mark Scheeren).
