God's unexpected plan for His Servant continues to be revealed. This Messiah/Redeemer/Ruler will only get His "spoils" after giving Himself as a guilt offering for sinners. The heart of the gospel and substitutionary atonement was revealed centuries before Jesus died on the cross.
