Free will is a necessary part of humanity and life. Determinism (fate) is self-defeating.
- The human brain is dynamic, plastic, and fluid. There is no biological determinism.
- The ability to reason is grounded in free will. If we have no free will, we cannot and do not think.
- Without free will there is no such thing as science. Science requires assessing observations, weighing data, filtering information, and drawing conclusions. Without free will, this process is an illusion.
- It's impossible to believe in determinism for rational reasons.
- The characteristics that most make us human (love, forgiveness, kindness, mercy, grace, and justice) require free will.
- God's omniscience has no impact on my freedom to choose. Knowledge is not causative.
