'Growing up prioritizing rationality, I had come to believe that any truth worth acquiring could be written down. Then on a psychedelic trip I realized that truth isn't obligated to be represented in words. Words are only for the shared libraries of data and concepts across humans. There is much beyond that, where language is only a tribute.

'The media looks very unreal to me. It seems that many people are okay with distorting the truth in sometimes dumb ways that still seem to work. Now with AI, governments can afford to do this at scale: run massive social attacks, even drive mass psychosis by say, optimizing for outrage.'

My friend tells me about a psychedelic trip which tuned him towards non-verbal truths, and we discuss intelligence vs goodness, and how my advisor does science for the love of it.

Then we talk about the power and peril of fast recent advances in AI and brain-computer interfaces. If all human brains were connected into a blazing fast network, what would it feel like to be that singular giant consciousness?
