Ask A Biologist began in 1997 in the School of Life Sciences as a biology learning resource tool for students, teachers, parents, and life-long learners. The site has had more than 50 million visits since its inception. Its pages have been translated into 12 different languages, and the community of volunteer science experts who answer questions include many from around the globe.
