Routine is normal in a joinery business. Everyone has their daily tasks and jobs which may or may not differ from time to time. But sometimes looking at the smaller details of how those tasks are being done is important. Having two people doing the same job a different way can sometimes cause errors in the final product, which is why it’s important to create standard work.
One way of solving this is having staff agree to a standard method, and then making sure everyone’s following the same method. This is just one example of how you can use standard work to improve your business.
