On #TheUpdate this Friday, a newly released investigation says that Mayor De Blasio misused city resources by taking his security detail with him on trips during his ill-fated presidential run. It recommends that the mayor reimburse the NYPD for the more than $300,000 spent on those trips, including for letting his adult son use his police security detail as a free taxi service. Pfizer is asking the U.S government to allow use of its COVID-19 vaccine in children ages 5 to 11. If regulators agree, shots could begin within a matter of weeks. And in a new poll, nearly all Americans agree that the rampant spread of misinformation is a problem. Most also think that individual users, along with social media companies, bear a good deal of blame for the situation. But few are very concerned that they themselves might be responsible.
