On #TheUpdate this Monday, Ukrainian border guards say they repelled a Russian attempt to send troops into the northern Sumy region, which is outside the current focus of fighting. The border guard service said that Russian forces deployed mortars, grenade launchers and machine guns in an attempt to cover a "sabotage and reconnaissance group" crossing the border from Russia. πΊπ¦π·πΊ
Locally in Buffalo, authorities say that Payton Gendron, the white 18-year-old who killed 10 people at the supermarket during the rampage that targeted black people, perviously made a threat at his high school. On Long Island, Shannan Gilbert, the woman who's disappearance in Gilgo Beach that worked an investigation into a possible serial killer, said that "there's someone after me" in a newly released 911 tape.
