Today we are talking about an Epictetus quote. The idea that when people anger you, they control you. So it is up to us to be in control of ourselves. As is it so often is the case with Epictetus, it comes down to understanding ourselves. Epictetus was a Stoic who was prominent in the early second century B.C./C.E. Our understanding of his knowledge, philosophy and methods as a teacher comes to us from the Discourses and the Handbook.
