In Matthew 8-9 the apostle draws our attention to several miracles that validate Jesus’ claim to be the Messiah. Among them is the account of some unusual work done in an unusual place and it demonstrates His unmatched power over the supernatural realm. Surprisingly, however, in spite of His remarkable liberation of two tormented demoniacs, those of the area will beg Jesus to leave.
