It's rare that I get to speak to anyone with 54 years of experience but particularly rare when that person is a leader - one of the first directors of transformation as far as I can tell.  Rose Fass founded a company FassForward with Gavin McMahon 2 decades ago.  We've never spoken but I got to know Gavin on LinkedIn last year (I was the first person to tell him about being featured by LinkedIn News - now that's a regular thing for him).

Rose released a new book called The Leadership Conversation and you know what image is on the cover?  Janus.  Remember what my podcast was originally called?  The Janus Oasis.

So even though I almost never interview someone I don't know, I decided that Rose and I would be able to handle it.  I pride myself on my conversation skills after all.  We are both wired to find common ground - it's fascinating how we were able to find so much in common.

We talk about leadership, politics, reframing conversations.  And stories!  Stories galore.  Gavin often quotes Jonathan Gottschall:  "A story is a trick for sneaking information into the fortified citadel of the human mind."

Listen to the end.  Rose has fascinating insight into hybrid/remote strategy and what it's going to take to get resistant senior leaders on board.  I love her specific examples.
