We influence those around us. Through our words and actions, people look to us to see how they may want to act. When we see an unjust murder of a civilian by an authority that should've protected them---we need to speak out.

Each of us has a platform. By itself, it may not enact massive change, but together with the world we can make a difference. My friend scOtt shared a quote from the late Howard Zinn "We don't have to engage in grand, heroic actions to participate in the process of change. Small acts, when multiplied by millions of people, can transform the world."
