I was talking with someone last week, and their response convicted me about complaining. I'm paraphrasing here; their journey had been awful because this individual did not get the room she wanted. I typically would not be surprised---except this was the second half of a 15-day voyage!!!

This event had been in my head, and you will see a future podcast episode on it. I thought I couldn't possibly be like that individual. Except I found myself complaining about going to lunch because my mom wanted to go to a place that is typically very slow. I almost let my complaining ruin a moment that I get to spend with my parents every week.

How many times do I still complain about something? Am I still stewing about it way after the fact? Letting something mundane ruin an experience? Life is a cruise, and whatever room we occupy---let's enjoy where the voyage takes us.
