Never Split the Difference: Negotiating As If Your Life Depended On It

We say "yes" to many things, and—while we should say "yes" to some things—we have to learn to accept the right opportunities to optimize and balance our lives. If we fill up our time and use our limited resources by saying "yes" to the wrong things, we won’t have any space left for saying “yes” to the right things—we need to learn how to say “no.”

Today, I explore why it’s essential to distinguish opportunities from distractions and explain how to decide on an offer. I reveal why learning to say "no" can keep your activities in line with your mission. I also share things to avoid saying when refusing an offer and different ways to say "no" without feeling guilty.

“There are a bunch of different ways that you can say ‘no’ while still feeling good about who you are and what you want to do—and it frees you up to say ‘yes’ to the right things.”- Jos Willard
