Gov. Abbott and Texas AG Ken Paxton thought they were doing a good thing. They ordered the state to investigate cases where parents provided "gender-affirming health care", which could include puberty blocking meds or even gender surgery! That's child abuse, say Abbott and Paxton. But a state district judge put a temporary restraining order on any investigations.
