In the first week of July, Larry Fink, the CEO of BlackRock, made some noteworthy comments about Bitcoin. As Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies have proven that they're not going away anytime soon, he has changed his outlook on the asset class and has called it something along the lines of "Digital Gold". With their eyes set on developing an approved Spot ETF that tracks Bitcoin, could this change the way that we look at cryptocurrencies as a whole? Interest rates continue to rise and inflation is still very much prevalent, so BlackRock and other financial companies look to create a regulated ETF that investors can use as another Gold alternative in times of high interest rates and volatile markets.
