Hello, friends.

Given today’s date, I wanted to share some thoughts and information on how mindfulness can help us process, cope with, and ultimately heal from loss.

Whether loss of loved ones, loss of a job, loss of material possessions, or loss of simple pleasures, loss is part of life.

And so is the grief that arises from it.

For most of us, the instinct is to avoid the feelings of this grief.

Of course, this is understandable. Because it hurts.

But when we try to distract ourselves from the grief, we don’t allow ourselves to heal.

In today’s videos, I offer three practices to process loss and grief.

But if you take nothing else from me today, please take this:

Allow yourself to turn towards the grief, despite the pain. Hold space for yourself. Give yourself some time. Let the grief in.

I promise you: while it may be painful to do this right now, in the long run you’ll be far better off for it.
