It's a statement about how the different natures of men and women work together to create a complete, life-producing arrangement that can't be matched in same sex marriages. But it only fully works when the man and woman are submitted to God. This is a message that must be communicated to the younger generation who are being influenced to think that alternative marriages are equally fruitful as traditional marriage. Young people need to make an informed decision about their futures.

In many cases, people have run for school board out of a vague idea that they want to give back to the community. It's a well-meaning vague idea, but too often school board members become rubber stamps for the administration. They think their purpose is to be supportive. What I propose is the opposite. School boards must always challenge school administrators to only implement educational practices that align with the community. They must guard against ideas that come from "on high". They don't do this out of malice toward local administrators, but to liberate them from the influence of the supposed experts in high places. School boards were created to keep schools local and accountable.

Socialism is not a dirty word to the younger generation. They see it as a choice between freedom and security. Since they've experienced lack of security but never experienced loss of freedom, security seems more precious to them. But young people also like to express themselves and they need to understand that socialism takes away freedom of speech and conscience.

There actually is a theory of creation that is more plausible than the theory of evolution. We look outside and see birds...lots of birds...all different varieties. The evidence is that birds can differentiate into varieties, but never become something other than birds. That's why we can classify all animals so easily into various kinds. God created the kinds.

This is the start of a series based on Xpo Minutes 60-second messages previously broadcast on radio at Lake of the Ozarks. I use the term "worldview" because it is the accepted term for how you look at reality, but reality doesn't really change for each individual. What makes sense is what you actually see (observe) and a reasonable hypothesis regarding what it means. God created us to comprehend his creation, not to re-imagine it.

We need a new approach to local politics without the gotcha mentality of the national scene. Rather than holding local officials' feet to the fire as conservatives are want to say, let's work with them to bring about justice at the local level. Let's resist the temptation to beat them up and work to get real resolution, maybe even a little repentance. Then we can unite our local community for protection against Federal overreach.

Lake of the Ozarks, and really much of rural Missouri, is experiencing a hot real estate market. People from all over the country want to live or own property in the Ozarks and home prices are going up. in spite of high prices, houses sell almost immediately, making it impossible to shop for the right home. Realtors are frustrated because there isn't enough inventory to sell. First-time homeowners have little opportunity in this kind of market, yet the local economy needs working people to be able to live here. This episode explores the issues but also talks about some solutions as well as opportunities to make money while serving people's needs.

This episode is for people who want to increase their members, base, or followers. The "weedy people" refers to Jesus' parable about the sower and the seed. The weedy soil received the seed but the plants were choked out by weeds, which Jesus described as the cares of the world. The weedy people are the uncommitted people who are distracted by life, but they can be reached. Stop preaching to the choir. Connect with new people.

Lake of the Ozarks is experiencing a strong real estate market...too strong. Many local people feel they are being left out of the home-buying market due to high prices, and many developers fear the shortage of affordable housing for service workers will negatively impact new venues that will need employees.

Have you noticed how crazy people have become? My hypothesis is that it's not everyone, but a minority of people are especially susceptible to mass psychosis. This episode talks about sociopathy, which psychologists describe as a personality disorder in which individuals have no conscience or sympathy for others. They seem to lack the characteristics of the human soul that we generally recognize as noble and selfless. I enlist my daughter, Gretchen Peters, to discuss whether there are people among us whose mental state prevents them from recognizing good and evil. We consult with Jesus over the parable of the sower of seeds and condition of the soil (and soul).

This opinion piece is in response to a local school board election. All across America, rural communities are increasingly at odds with their public school administrations. Those administrations promote the more liberal leftist, sometimes radical, perspectives fostered by colleges and universities, whereas the worldview of rural communities is more traditional and conservative. The challenge for rural communities is to accept the benefits of public education while restraining the attempts to indoctrinate young people. What should be the role of citizens and school board members? Do we love our schools or do we act as gatekeepers to protect our children?
