The words of Nehemiah son of Hakaliah:
In the month of Kislev in the twentieth year, while I was in the citadel of Susa, 2 Hanani, one of my brothers, came from Judah with some other men, and I questioned them about the Jewish remnant that had survived the exile, and also about Jerusalem.
3 They said to me, “Those who survived the exile and are back in the province are in great trouble and disgrace. The wall of Jerusalem is broken down, and its gates have been burned with fire.”
4 When I heard these things, I sat down and wept. For some days I mourned and fasted and prayed before the God of heaven. 5 Then I said:
“Lord, the God of heaven, the great and awesome God, who keeps his covenant of love with those who love him and keep his commandments, 6 let your ear be attentive and your eyes open to hear the prayer your servant is praying before you day and night for your servants, the people of Israel. I confess the sins we Israelites, including myself and my father’s family, have committed against you. 7 We have acted very wickedly toward you. We have not obeyed the commands, decrees and laws you gave your servant Moses.
8 “Remember the instruction you gave your servant Moses, saying, ‘If you are unfaithful, I will scatter you among the nations, 9 but if you return to me and obey my commands, then even if your exiled people are at the farthest horizon, I will gather them from there and bring them to the place I have chosen as a dwelling for my Name.’
10 “They are your servants and your people, whom you redeemed by your great strength and your mighty hand. 11 Lord, let your ear be attentive to the prayer of this your servant and to the prayer of your servants who delight in revering your name. Give your servant success today by granting him favor in the presence of this man.”

Sam studied theology at Wycliffe Hall in Oxford, before going on to work at St. Ebbe’s Church in Oxford where he oversaw the ministry to university students. He then worked at St. Mary’s Church in Maidenhead for several years. He is an ordained minister in the Church of England and has served on its governing body, the General Synod. Sam is a consulting editor for The Gospel Coalition.

Cameron McAllister is an Itinerant Speaker at RZIM. He is the host of the Vital Signs podcast, a weekly podcast exploring signs of life in today’s culture, and the co-host (with Nathan Rittenhouse) of Thinking Out Loud, a podcast that considers current events and Christian hope. Cameron is also a staff writer with Christ and Pop Culture, where he explores the intersection of Christianity and popular culture. His film and television reviews have appeared in Christianity Today and Think Christian. He holds a degree in Philosophy and Religion from Toccoa Falls College and recently earned a masters in cultural apologetics from Houston Baptist University.
Cameron was born on the mission field in Vienna, Austria. He moved to the States with his family in 1998 when his father, Stuart McAllister, began working with RZIM. Cameron and his wife, Heather, currently reside in Georgia.
Michael Suderman is an Itinerant Speaker with Ravi Zacharias International Ministries and is based in Washington, DC. He graduated from Tabor College with a double major in Philosophy and Biblical and Religious Studies, and a minor in Psychology. Michael continued his studies at the University of Oxford where he completed a Master’s of Theology alongside two years of study at the Oxford Centre for Christian Apologetics.
Michael has interests in topics related to the rationality of belief and the intersection of Christianity and culture. His passion is to help facilitate the discovery and rediscovery of Jesus by communicating and clarifying the gospel as the most profound answer to life’s most meaningful questions. Prior to studying in Oxford, Michael was involved with youth and university ministries and participated in educational and volunteer work throughout India.

RZIM speakers descended upon university grounds in Charlottesville, Virginia, for a week of student engagement including sixteen outreach events aimed at articulating and clarifying the gospel.
Nathan Rittenhouse is an Itinerant Speaker with Ravi Zacharias International Ministries. He was graduated from Bridgewater College in Virginia with a double major in Physics and Philosophy and Religion, and a minor in Mathematics before attending the Oxford Centre for Christian Apologetics. He holds an M.Div. from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary.
Nathan has interests in topics of science and religion, church history, and systematic theology. He grew up in an active church and Christian family and developed an enthusiasm for Christ that has intensified with his academic studies. As a student, Nathan refreshed his mind by running track and cross-country and continues to enjoy a variety of outdoor activities with his wife and kids.
Alycia Wood is an Itinerant Speaker with RZIM. She graduated from Roberts Wesleyan College with a degree in Criminal Justice and Sociology and from Marygrove College with a Master’s in Social Justice. She also graduated from the Oxford Centre for Christian Apologetics (OCCA) and spent two years as an OCCA Fellow with RZIM in New England. Alycia has addressed major issues surrounding faith to diverse audiences whether at major universities or men’s and women’s prisons.
Additionally, she has traveled to countries such as Haiti, Honduras, the Dominican Republic, and Jamaica, volunteering at soup kitchens and orphanages as her passions for showing Christ extends beyond her local environment.
Alycia loves engaging with the person who finds Christianity ugly or unbelievable. She fully understands that there is confusing and misleading information about Christianity and Jesus in our societies today and she always welcomes every invitation that allows her to communicate the true message of the Bible.
