It always seems we are seeking massive change in our lives. We need to understand that change for change sake is not always valuable. We need to make sure we are becoming more effective in our pursuit. Become more effective, don’t just change all the time!
- Contentment seems to be an elusive idea for most of us
- If we are into personal development at all it seems like we are always seeking growth and massive change in our lives.
- This can be such a valuable tool if we use it correctly. I have often found myself or those around me however making change just for change sakes. If this is a needed change than it can so valuable, but not always!
- We need to make sure that our direction for change is actually leading to more effectiveness.
- Our brains love to seek new and exciting things, novel things. The shiny object syndrome is a very powerful buffer.
- If at our core though we are not becoming more effective and striving for positive results then the change is usually going to fall flat and won’t be sustainable for very long.
- We need to build in checkpoints throughout the change cycle to see if this change is leading us to where we would like to go.
- The precursor to this checkpoint is our absolute clarity about where we are going in the first place.
- I am all for change but lets make sure this is driving us to more effectiveness in the process or we will end up burned out, battered and broken, and more stuck than when we started.
