During a recent visit to London, England, we had the opportunity to visit the historic church of Charles H. Spurgeon, see the royal palace, and reflect on the place where our friend and founder, Dr. Thomason, served during World War II. As we stood among reminders of earthly royalty, we were challenged to remember a far greater truth: as believers, we have been given a royal inheritance as children of the King.

Yet in a generation filled with competing voices, many are embracing a different Jesus, a different master, and a different authority. While Christ said, “If ye love me, keep my commandments,” much of modern preaching emphasizes compassion without conviction, grace without obedience, and freedom without responsibility. Some claim that Christians are no longer bound by biblical duties or standards, dismissing them as outdated.
