Tessie Castillo is a journalist and co-author from Durham, North Carolina. She co-wrote her first book, Crimson Letters: Voices from Death Row, with four men serving death sentences in North Carolina. George Wilkerson is a poet and co-author of Crimson Letters who is currently serving a death sentence at North Carolina's Central Prison. Today's show talks about the challenges in having multiple people co-author a book while most of them are in prison. But there's a message that they want to share, and that we all would do well to hear.
