UNCHANGING: “When Places Change…” Hebrews 6:17-20 NIV

“17 Because God wanted to make the unchanging nature of his purpose very clear to the heirs of what was promised, he confirmed it with an oath. 18 God did this so that, by two unchangeable things in which it is impossible for God to lie, we who have fled to take hold of the hope set before us may be greatly encouraged. 19 We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure. It enters the inner sanctuary behind the curtain, 20 where our forerunner, Jesus, has entered on our behalf. He has become a high priest forever, in the order of Melchizedek.” (NIV)

“Although we live in a world that is always changing, We worship and serve a God that is UNCHANGING.”

“Even when our plans change, God’s purposes never do.” “Even when places changes, God’s presence never does.”

UNCHANGEABLE TRUTH #1 — “God Is With Us”

“When everything around you is uncertain, the key to stability is to focus on unchangeable truth.” - Rick Warren

“For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, 39 neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” - Romans 8:38-39 NIV

PRAYER FOR THIS WEEK: All-Knowing and Ever-Present God, I thank You that because of who You are, I can know without a doubt, That wherever I am today, YOU ARE THERE. Whether I am soaring on wings like eagles, Or I am walking through the valley of the shadow of death, I can know that YOU ARE WITH ME. God, I pray that the power of Your UNCHANGING presence, Would transform my places of hurt and brokenness, Into places of healing and wholeness, Not just for me, but for those around me, So that my presence might point to Your presence, in the lives of people and in this world. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.
