For today's podcast we are sitting together with the organizers of the Climate Hackathon initiated by Yale University, or the Open Climate Collabathon by Yale Openlab as the official name is.

Luka Zrnic, Oliver Bley  and Sam Tuke have taken time to give use an insight into what is happening behind the curtains at the event and explained us why this isn't a typical hackathon.

"It isn't about competing against each other, but much rather about achieving a common goal while collaborating with each other." says Luka Zrnic president of Net Impact@ESMT Berlin a student club focusing on climate change and effective charity work.

The event is taking place all around the world.

But only from the 16-17th of November you can participate in person.

Afterwards the whole event will continue exclusively online for another week.

The goal is to create a global accountability system to track the CO2 emissions for stakeholders in climate change stay accountable against the Paris agreement.

If this isn't a worthy cause, I do not know what is. ;)
