My name is Martin Huu Nguyen and I made a decision that I take responsibility and accountability for when I was 16 years old that not only certified me as an adult but it cost me 4 1/2 years in a correctional facility. My goal in life now is to help At-Risk Youth by being a role model in society as well as letting them understand that Success is not impossible once you have a record, that you can still rise above this and be the person that not only society will accept you for but to also accept yourself. Having a good support system was half the struggles I had to go through but what it boiled down to was me putting in the effort and finishing the rest on my own.
