God will never give you suffering you can’t handle. “No testing has overtaken you that is not common in the world; God will provide” (1 Cor 10:13). You have an advantage, the unique assets of the power of the filling of the Holy Spirit and the living Word of God. Use these when you face suffering in life. Suffering can be for blessing or it can be discipline. The Lord may use suffering to get your attention. To encourage you to get off the My Way Highway and get back on the Thy Way Highway. “My son pay attention to my wisdom; lend your ear to my understanding” (Prov 5:1). If we ignore God’s instruction, the justice of God will administer warning discipline, intense discipline, and possibly dying discipline. “Harsh discipline is for him who forsakes the way, and he who hates correction will die” (Prov 15:10).
