Do you sometimes look at what's stressing you out and think to yourself that it's not worth stressing over? This realization can be a powerful moment, but does it really provide you with how or why you got to that point? For many, the answer is no.
We can get to the point of realizing that many stress factors do not have a purpose in life, but fail to realize that stress is caused because we don't have a purpose to keep us on the path of evolving. Through many conversations and research I've found that we have pretty skewed ideas of what having a purpose for our life looks like. Purpose seems to get the label of being too much work, too confusing and/or too uncomfortable to maintain. To be honest, purpose does create work, requires focus and actionable steps that take you outside of the norm.
The upside of having purpose to guide your daily movements greatly outweighs these fear driven thoughts of work, attention and vulnerability. Purpose provides the steady down beat to life that gives you a reference to gauge whats truly important versus whats a distraction. I build further on this topic in this podcast so jump in to the mix and realize how having a purpose can greatly reduce your stress.
