Good literature (and storytelling in general) contains foreshadowing.

Foreshadowing is when the author reveals a future turn in the plot before it 

The BIBLE is a story. It is not mere fiction, though. The God of the universe has not just written the narrative, His story has been enacted in real time since the beginning of creation.

The entirety of scripture points to one person’s arrival and work...that of Jesus Christ.
