My father, Ezra Stoller, was Le Corbusier’s contemporary. They both shared the stage at an architecture award ceremony, and Ezra also received Corbu’s prickly arrogance. It’s been noted that despite Corbu’s celebrated reputation he consistently self-sabotaged himself. Stoller shot the famous images of Corbu’s famous chapel at Ronchamp, which are showcased in the book From the Eye of the Beholder. The book tells Stoller’s personal stories working with six of the 20th century’s leading architects and is available in a new high-quality edition on Kickstarter.
