The trial of Bruce Lerhmann - the man accused of raping former Liberal staffer Brittany Higgins - has been aborted.
After the highly publicised trial, the jury had been deadlocked for days.
And a cruel twist, after Chief Justice Lucy McCallum had insisted the jury to come to a unanimous decision - juror misconduct was the apparent reason.
