In January 2018 Ben's younger brother ended his own life. We talk about the effect this had on him, how to make sure others don't experience this going forward, the government failings in treating and prioritising mental health and a few of his favourite books. Ben West is now a Mental Health Campaigner. He has been leading the front in trying to get all school teachers trained in mental health first aid and getting people talking, all whilst studying at University.
