Tonight’s guest is author William Stack. William resides in Portland, Oregon and when he isn’t writing books, he works as a historical consultant, researcher, and editor. In the past he did work at Portland State University and also did student teaching at Lewis & Clark College in Oregon.
In 2010 he released his first book “Historic Photos of Oregon” a photographic history of Oregon from 1860 to 1971.
In 2012 he contributed to the Oregon Encyclopedia Project when he wrote an article on George Flavel (a prominent Astoria sea captain who helped develop maritime trade in Astoria and Portland).
And in 2014 he wrote “King of the Road: Glenn Jackson and the Building of the Oregon Highway System, 1959-1979”.
