This track is based on reworked trumpet solo recordings. Through manipulation, layering and synthesis, the original material is transformed into a new soundscape where the instrument's identity dissolves and reassembles into unexpected forms, suspended between memory, error and digital transformation.

Imagining a microphone placed inside a mole’s tunnel, the piece gathers and transforms barely perceptible underground sounds. A listening practice directed toward what usually remains beneath the surface.

The sound of the piano (Meccaniche del Suono) made me imagine that moment of suspension in the air just before the rain. Komorebi (木漏れ日)in the Japanese language is the light that filters through the leaves of the trees, a brief but very intense moment that expresses a state of mind, a feeling that is elusive, like the rays of the sun filtering through the leaves trees in a forest or during an eclipse. A false awakening is a vivid and convincing dream about awakening from sleep, while the dreamer in reality continues to sleep. After a false awakening, subjects often dream they are performing daily morning routine such as showering, cooking, cleaning, eating, and using the bathroom. A Lesson from The “Wood-Wide Web” The concept of the “wood-wide web” is a term that’s been coined by scientists and biologists studying the underground systems of roots and fungi which ultimately create a family tree of connections across the planet. In short, all forests “hold hands” under the earth. Heterotopy is a term coined by the French philosopher Michel Foucault to indicate "those spaces that have the particular characteristic of being connected to all the other spaces, but in such a way as to suspend, neutralize or invert the set of relations that they themselves designate, they reflect or mirror ». The mirror is, for example, heterotopic, we see ourselves where we are not, in an unreal space that opens virtually behind the surface but which, at the same time, is an absolutely real place, connected to all the space that surrounds it. Heterotopias are unsettling, because they secretly undermine language, because they forbid naming this and that, because they break and tangle clichés, because they devastate "syntax" and not only that which constructs sentences, but the less obvious one which makes "hold together" ... words and things.

The Taiji dolphin drive hunt is based on driving dolphins and other small cetaceans into a small bay where they can be killed or captured for their meat and for sale to dolphinariums (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Taiji_dolphin_drive_hunt). During the entire six-month long hunting season dolphins are routinely subjected to harassment, suffering and abuse. Dolphins are chased, injured, manhandled, run-over by skiffs, dragged, drowned, taken captive and slaughtered. Entire pods of dolphins are decimated, from the very young to the very old. When I listened to Wie Wir Die Welt, Matthias Boss violin improvisations, I immediately thought that I would like to weave sounds between those notes launched towards unexplored landscapes. A memory dinamic sequence consists of music, images and moments of our past and future lives. A new life can make our memories fade but this does not mean they should be forgotten.
We wrongly consider that things (including the human self) possess their own inherent nature. The subtle and profound emptiness realized on the bodhisattva path is an ultimate truth. This ultimate truth is a negative phenomenon -- the mere absence of a certain type of self (i.e., a certain kind of existence) in phenomena. In Buddhism, ultimate truth is an absence, not a presence.
