The first two chapters of Hebrews mainly explain how Jesus is superior to angels. In particular, we focus on Jesus’ humanity, explaining that Jesus is The High Priest, “Captain” of our salvation (Hebrews 2:10), and our ultimate example. Hebrews chapter 3 makes a significant shift in topic. Chapter 3 explains how Jesus is superior to Old Testament figures, primarily Moses.
