Proverbs 23:23 says “Buy the truth and sell it not and also wisdom, understanding and instruction.”

At first glance, the obvious way to buy truth is, of course, through books or texts, messages or songs, or paying for a degree from a university, but the nittier, grittier truth here is that the truth will cost us something. 

When we write the truth or speak up for the truth; when we tell the truth and not withhold the truth; when we fight for the truth and not back down from the truth, it will cost something.
