Joel, Brooksy and JD Speak to Elijah Buol, OAM. After starting life in war-torn South Sudan, Elijah lost both his parents at a very early age and moved into a Refugee Camp in Uganda. These days, with a university degree in Criminology, Elijah was crowned Queensland's local hero in 2019 after being instrumental into some very serious policy changes in Queensland. He has an Order of Australia Medal and is passionate about being a youth advocate amongst his local community. In this episode we hear Elijah's story about what life as a refugee moving to Australia is like and how his determination and passion made him such a success even with all the odds stacked against him.
