Landing that first job out of college is harder than ever, especially if you have high expectations for yourself and big dreams. How do you overcome that hurdle of inexperience, in both your desired profession and in life?

This is an interview with Sarah Clow, who at the time of publishing this episode (2020) is the Head of Social Media & Marketing Partnerships at Ezoic. While obviously intelligent and charismatic, Sarah seems to be an unlikely choice to be the head of anything, given her age and experience level. Not to say that Sarah isn't a great fit for her job (she is) or that Ezoic shouldn't have hired her (clearly she's awesome and hiring her was a great idea). But in general, it is unusual these days to see a company take a risk on a young person - someone who hasn't yet had a chance to prove themselves to be valuable or a solid investment.

On the surface, many people might wonder at why I wanted to bring Sarah on this podcast. After all, what does she know about building an online business?

Those of us who have been in the game of building websites for monetization (or making money online in any other capacity) know that most of making it online has little to do with the nuts and bolts strategy, and much, much more to do with your mindset, mentorship, drive, and determination. At this stage of her burgeoning career, Sarah already embodies the best of all of these attributes, and her early success is a sign of what we can expect to see in the future if she stays true to herself and her work ethic.

I find her energy and optimism about work and life energizing, and motivating. I thoroughly enjoyed chatting with her about her progress so far, and I look forward to follow her next steps as she finds her way in the online space.
