Boundaries are really tough. It can be difficult to enforce them, especially when someone we love is struggling. However, healthy boundaries are essential for your wellbeing, as well as that of the person you are supporting. Crossing the line between being a supporter and being an enabler can happen easily, without even realizing it.
In this episode I'm joined by Amber Lea Gray a former counselor turned pastor. Her journey as a mental health provider started in an acute mental health hospital. She also hosts a podcast called Growth & Grace, where she mixes pep talks and practical tips to help people find joy, purpose and achieve the life they dream about.
She believes deeply that life is a journey where we are constantly growing and in need of grace. Both as a pastor and a podcaster she aims to address important conversations and address issues such a mental health openly.
In our chat, she shares tips on how to establish healthy boundaries and how to stand by them, even when it's challenging. For example, writing a boundary contract when all parties are calm.
