As Asian Pacific American Heritage Month (APAHM) comes to a close, we reflect on PBS’s “Asian Americans,” a five-hour special documenting the rich (and often overlooked) history of Asians in America. We discuss our initial reactions and reflect on how Asian Americans currently fit into the advocacy of people of color. With nationwide protests demanding justice for George Floyd, we discuss how we can best be allies to the Black Lives Matter movement.
